Petition now online

I got the notification today that the Petition has been approved by No.10 and we're now able to start collecting signatures.

You can find the petition here

We're going to do our bit to get as many people signing the Petition as we can but we need your help!  Please, tell anyone you know who might be interested in signing the Petition. I'll be putting some buttons & banners online in a few days to make it really easy to spread the word.

Our goal is to get 50,000 signatures and we've got until February to achieve this number. We need your help to do it!

Here we go!

Interest in Cycling is at an all time high, with success at the Olympics, Fuel Prices and increased costs of transportation helping to generate further interest in the Sport.

From 2009 Cycle prices are set to rise and this will limit the ability of more people to get involved in a great passtime and wonderful form of exercise as well as making it harder for existing Cyclists in all disciplines to be able to afford their hobby.

We are petitioning the Prime Minister to:

1) Zero rate VAT on Bicycle & Tricycle purchases over £129

2) Zero rate VAT on all Cycle Safety Equipment

3) Reduce VAT to 5% on all Cycle Parts & Accessories.

In doing so the Prime Minister can help ensure the continued growth of Cycling in the UK leading to a healthier population and further reducing the impact of transportation upon the Environment.

We ask that anyone with an interest in Cycling signs the petition - without your support we cannot expect to see change!
